About the Owner

Boyum 101ra70Megan and John are your hosts at the Inn.  It has been Megan’s dream for quite some time to run a hotel and she patiently awaits your arrival.  John is the Nutrient Management Specialist for Fillmore County Soil and Water Conservation District and farms with his dad and brother raising 160 cow calf pairs.

DREAM. Yes a dream in the making.  In college Megan worked as a concierge in the hospital system in Indianapolis (Indiana University Health). Daily she was making reservations for patients and guests and negotiating rates with the area hotels.  Through this she realized that there is a large need for affordable patient lodging around major hospitals, but by the time she realized what she wanted to do with her life (start laughing now…I am full of ideas of what I would like to do with my life)…with a major in Geography, running a hotel was going to take getting some experience because changing majors wasn’t an option in her mind.  So experience she set out to get.  Joined AmeriCorps and served for 3 years with Habitat for Humanity, then became a city clerk, then bought the Andor Wenneson Inn…do you see where we are going here?

She is still in the experience gathering stage and rolling ideas around for how to make the Andor Wenneson Inn contribute to affordable lodging for patients and care takers along the way.  If you have any ideas or connections don’t hesitate to let her know.

John, he is passionate about a lot of things, but the three things that take the cake right now are cows and hunting.  We like to eat meat and drink beer:)  If he isn’t working with his cows, 160 of them that he knows by face and name and who’s baby they are carrying, he is researching hunting techniques and how to prepare the game in which he hopes to come home with.

Luna, she is our new greeter at the hotel.  She turned 2 in August 2017 and is catching on to her job, but sometimes gets a little surprised a lets out a bark.

Arne joined the crew in January 2017 and we have had a lot of fun so far watching our curious, bright eyed guy grow and learn.
